Brainstorm allows a business's employees to share, rate and comment on ideas, while also enabling decision-makers to set up campaigns and track ideas for specific business challenges.

While it is certainly innovative, it isn't the only solution in the collaboration space. Kindling App and Salesforce Chatter are among the more well-known names in enterprise collaboration tools.

Brainstorm sets itself apart from competitors through its simple and intuitive interface. It features three main sections for the ideation process:

Ideas: Colleagues can submit and collaborate on ideas through the "Ideas" tab. This feature enables employees to be proactive and speak up when they know an improvement can be made within the business.

Challenges: Decision-makers can submit calls for action through the "Challenges" tabs, where teammates can respond with ideas for overcoming the business challenge. This feature works best when a problem is known and management is looking for ideas on how to best fix it.

Pipelines: Pipelines enable decision-makers to track relevant ideas, evaluate them using custom criteria and act upon them.

Intuit is offering a free 30-day trial. After the trial, monthly pricing starts at $5 per user, with a $500 per month minimum.
