When we dropped by Chinese manufacturer GoPod Mobile's booth today for confirmation and more photos, the "iPad 2" was hidden underneath a stack of papers, and the purveyors wouldn't let us take pictures of it.
Two of our reporters quizzed a person working at the GoPod booth; the staffer confirmed that this item was indeed the back of the next iPad, sent to GoPod Mobile by Apple itself.
We know, we know -- this doesn't make any sense. Apple rarely sends dummy prototypes to case makers or accessory manufacturers before a product release, and many of the cases claimed to be the real thing in the past have turned out to be not exactly accurate.
We're approaching this "iPad 2" with a healthy dose of skepticism. Commenters, what do you think? Could this be the real thing?
