You won't be able to get your hands on one until Nov. 2, but if you're considering the iPad Mini, here's a quick, candid hands-on video we took at the launch event to whet your appetite.

The 7.9-inch gadget rests comfortably in one hand, and its screen resolution is exactly that of the iPad 2 -- which is to say, not quite a Retina display. But the impressive speed at which the Mini browses and launches apps may make up for that.
