Well, let's get this over with. In what is likely the last Apple rumor we'll see today -- hours before the start of today's event, which starts at 10 a.m. PT in San Francisco -- 9to5Mac claims it has the price for the iPad Pro, a larger variant of the iPad that's reportedly coming today.

According to the report, the 12-inch iPad Pro will start with 32GB of storage, and that variant will cost $799. It will also be available with 64GB and 128GB of storage, with an $899 and $999 price tag, respectively.

Users who opt for an LTE-ready version will have to dish out an additional $130 more per model. If the rumor is true, it would mean that the most expensive iPad Pro, at $1129, would be significantly more expensive than the cheapest MacBook Air, which starts at $899.

Let's not get ahead of ourselves, though -- the rumor is unconfirmed, and at this point there's no official indication of any kind that an iPad Pro is even in the works.

9to5Mac also mentions several other details we might see at today's event. The new iPhone versions will come with the option to have Siri enabled at all times, meaning you'll be able to invoke Apple's digital assistant just by saying "hey Siri," even when the phone is unplugged.

Also, the revamped Apple TV is going to run an iOS 9-based OS called tvOS -- makes sense, considering the names for Apple's mobile and smartwatch operating systems being iOS and watchOS, respectively. And while we're on the subject of Apple Watch, a partnership with a well-known fashion brand might be revealed, as well as new wristbands.

So much for the rumors ahead of the event; Mashable's team of journalists will be at the Bill Graham Civic Auditorium in San Francisco later today to get the news directly from the source. Follow our live blog here.
