You know the drill, folks: A new iPhone comes out, and within hours, it has been torn to pieces by the folks at iFixit.

More precisely, we're talking about the iPhone 6 Plus, the iPhone 6's bigger brother. The teardown of the biggest iPhone yet didn't bring too many surprises: Apple is still using non-standard pentalobe screws, but it is relatively easy to disassemble and repair if need be.

One thing that stands out is the iPhone 6 Plus' battery size. Compared to the battery in the iPhone 6, it packs more milliampere-hours: 2915 compared to 1810.

At 4.7 x 1.9 inches, the battery in the iPhone 6 Plus is nearly as big as the actual iPhone 5S device (which is 4.87 x 2.31 inches). The 6 Plus' battery is also considerably taller than the iPhone 4S device, which measures 4.54 x 2.31 inches -- a nice reminder of how much the screen has grown.

Comparing apples to apples, the battery in the iPhone 6 Plus dwarfs the size of that in the iPhone 6, which the iFixit team tells us is 3.75 x 1.5 inches. Both batteries are 0.13 inches thick.
