An iPhone fingerprint scanner is among the features rumored to launch at next week's Apple event. While it's unclear whether or not we'll actually see the scanner added, a new concept video gives a fascinating look at how it could be used to unlock an iPhone with one touch.
Aatma Studio, creators of the viral iPhone concepts that envisioned the device with a stunning laser and a 3D multiplayer hologram for gaming, developed the video.
It's worth noting that Apple patented fingerprint-detection technology last year, and words related to the technology has surfaced in beta code for iOS 7. So perhaps this rumor isn't as far-fetched as you'd think.
What's more, leaked photos show internal components with a cushion near the home button for what could be a scanner. However, in this concept video, the fingerprint technology appears via the touchscreen and isn't accessed directly through the hardware.
Would you want to use a fingerprint scanner to log into an iPhone? Do you think Apple will debut the feature in next week's launch? Give us your take in the comments, below.
