iPhoneSIMfree Acquired: Resolves Software Unlock Issues For your iPhone

iPhoneSIMfree, the company that lets you use any SIM card in your iPhone using software, has been acquired for an undisclosed amount.

The larger company that has taken in iPhoneSIMfree has not been identified, but as iPhoneSIMfree has grown considerably in the past three months, it's obviously of some value to someone. The service provides a software unlock, allowing you to use your SIM card from any network without the need to open your iPhone.

What's interesting about this particular acquisition is that the iPhoneSIMfree software unlock has been delayed and faced several problems that has prevented the software from actually being delivered. Red initial coverage here. The company reports that these problems have been resolved, and is in the process of delivering the unlock software to its current customers.
