The 8GB iPod touch has dropped from $229 to $189; the 16GB model will now cost $249, down from $299, while the 32GB model is a full 120 dollars cheaper, dropping to $279 from $399. Furthermore, the 8GB iPod nano's price has been cut from $149 to $129, the 16GB nano has dropped to $149 from $199, and finally, the iPod classic now costs $229 instead of the $249.

These are solid price cuts, which indicate that today's Apple event will be all about the iPod lineup. It's hard to tell what, exactly, Apple has in store for us, but we can expect new, better iPods presumably for less money. This is good news: even if you don't like the new models, you can still pick up some of the old ones for a significantly lower price.
