Iran's Grand Ayatollah Ali Khamenei went on a tweet storm Wednesday morning, using hashtags like #TortureReport and #Ferguson to blast the U.S. government following the release of the so-called CIA torture report.

They claim they've a prideful nation; US govts. debased & misguided their ppl who aren't aware of many realities.#TortureReport 10/31/12— Khamenei.ir (@khamenei_ir) December 10, 2014

Today,US govt. is symbol of tyranny against humanity;even American ppl are faced w cruelty #ToutureReport #HumanRightsDay #Ferguson 7/28/07— Khamenei.ir (@khamenei_ir) December 10, 2014

Using Twitter, Iran's supreme leader also shared custom artwork.

Some Twitter users were quick to point out a certain measure of hypocrisy: Iran is routinely accused of similar practices.

When is your torture report being released? MT @khamenei_ir Any noble man would feel sweat of shame about US Pres order to torture.Shameful.— Glenn Thrush (@GlennThrush) December 10, 2014

@khamenei_ir At least they're open enough to admit to their fault. When will we get a torture report from yr prison&ministry of intelligence?— Rose (@PersianRose1) December 10, 2014

@khamenei_ir Ah, to live under a perfect government such as Iran's, where all men are equal, and women decidedly less so.— Kevin Miller (@lovetoo71) December 10, 2014

Iran, you owe me one Ironymeter. MT “@khamenei_ir: Look at how humanity is being treated...in the name of #humanrights #TortureReport”— Ben (@ban_postgate) December 10, 2014

The tweets followed Tuesday's release by the U.S. Senate of its controversial torture report, laying bare the CIA "enhanced interrogation" program's most unspeakable acts and the agency's lies to hide it.

While Khamenei's account has not been verified, it is widely believed to be the supreme leader's official account.
