LONDON -- When it comes to online dating, men don't exactly have a flawless track record.

Tinder, in particular, seems to produce a near-constant stream of cringe-worthy messages and opening lines. Last year we had the guy who asked his London date to send him back the £3.50 he spent on her coffee after she didn't want to see him again, and now we have what may be one of the worst opening Tinder lines in history.

This is 21-year-old Rebecca Keane from Ireland.

On Tuesday, Keane tweeted the following screengrab of a recent opening message she'd received on Tinder.

Oh dear.

"I've never gotten a message like that before to be honest," Keane told Mashable. "All my other pictures are pictures of me so I don't know how he thought I was my friend.

"Seems to be a bit of an idiot."

Luckily, Keane managed to keep her cool and sent back the following response.

Keane confirmed to Mashable that Patrick hasn't been in touch again since.
