If you were to pick one member of the It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia cast to direct a Minecraft movie, who would you choose?

Mojang went with Rob McElhenney, the creator of the hit FX series and the actor who plays Mac on the show. Mojang confirmed McElhenney's directing gig  after he was spotted roving around at the recently concluded MineCon event.

McElhenney has directed a handful of It's Always Sunny... episodes, as well as the upcoming TV movie Pariah, starring Lou Diamond Phillips and Regina King. He's also set to write and direct a family action flick called Figment for Legendary Pictures, a deal he sold, according to Deadline, "with a four-minute test reel and a passionate 20-minute pitch."

Mojang hasn't shared any details of the upcoming Minecraft feature, though Deadline notes it's a co-production with Warner Bros. McElhenney's also been quiet thus far, with only one vague (and appropriately odd) tweet to shout out the news.

Hey @Mojang let's do something strange and wonderful.
