Some babies are just too bold for a normal name.

A man named Jack Daniels Leathers and his wife, Lydia Leathers of Gray, Louisiana, have named their newborn son Jim Beam, continuing the tradition of naming their family's very classy tradition of naming their children after American alcohol.

"My parents decided they wanted to name their son something to make their parents mad," Jack told The Courier. Perhaps Mr. Leathers' grandparents were expecting a less snarky middle name. Or maybe they just prefer Jameson or Glenfiddich.

The boozy baby name was planned a long time ago, as far back as the couple's first date. The family's history of whiskey love doesn't stop at baby names, either -- the judge who officiated Jack and Lydia's wedding was actually named Johnny Walker.

Jack said to The Courier that they intend to name their next son after the bourbon Evan Williams, or Sherry, if they have a daughter.

If the Leathers hope to keep their baby names an American whiskey tradition, let's hope they don't have a big family. They're either going to have to jump across the pond or start naming their kid "Moonshine".
