Getting Jared Leto to play The Joker for the upcoming Suicide Squad movie was a weird choice, but we all kinda went along with it. After all, Heath Ledger seemed like an odd choice for the Joker in The Dark Knight, but his version of Batman's most sadistic villain ended up becoming memorably brilliant. "Hey, if Heath Ledger can do it, so can Jared Leto" was essentially our shared motto for the past few weeks.
Then David Ayer released a picture of Jared Leto as The Joker on Friday and the Internet instantly regretted giving the benefit of the doubt to anything ever.
