The leadership overthrow in Australian politics hasn't been easy -- least of all for Jack Turnbull Brown.

The grandson of Australia's new prime minister, Malcolm Turnbull, used the official swearing-in ceremony to make it known he wants to be a star. Not shying away from his moment in the spotlight, the almost 2-year-old, who is the son of Turnbull's daughter Daisy, could be heard goo-ing and gah-ing his way through the official moment.

He then posed for a couple of Prince George-esque photos afterwards, which shows he has what it takes to be a grandson of The Lodge.

Turnbull ousted conservative Prime Minister Tony Abbott in a Liberal Party leadership spill on Monday night. It happened in a surprise ballot, in which he stole the leadership from his colleague in a party vote 54-44.

On Tuesday, Turnbull was sworn in as the 29th Prime Minister of Australia. Governor-General Peter Cosgrove went ahead with proceedings with the support of Jack, who can be heard sharing his encouraging words in the background.

At least someone is saying it how it is. Turnbull Senior better watch his back.
