This Is (Not Really) It: Michael Jackson Surges on Amazon Again

We've already reported on This Is It dominating online ticket sales, the red carpet event drawing 1.8 million viewers online, and its impressive debut at the box office. Now, we're learning that the movie is helping Jackson's Amazon music sales surge once again as well.

Trendrr's mapped out the metrics around the Michael Jackson albums that are once again surging on Amazon:

The graph above depicts the Amazon sales rank for four different albums (the lower the number, the higher the rank on Amazon), each of which peaked right after Jackson's death. As you can tell, sales dropped off extensively in the following months, but are once again rising to the top at a fast pace. For example, the 25th Anniversary of Thriller album took a big dip in October, but is now surging again, currently ranked 48th on Amazon.
