Still, the answer to our question will likely come after today. Jaiku announced on the official blog early this morning that "will take Jaiku offline for approximately 24 hours to complete a set of related maintenance operations." This is in response to the performance issues that have been experienced by the userbase recently (and reported here and elsewhere). The downtime will begin tomorrow at midnight Pacific Time. Once things are up, all archives and feeds will be unavailable for a bit while they move the database around.
