Ringtone and mobile entertainment company Jamba has lost its CEO, Lucy Hood, who has resigned today. COO Lee Fenton will be taking over Hood's position as CEO until a new CEO is found and appointed. Hood, who is also the founder of Fox Mobile Entertainment, is leaving News Corp. after ten years, and will be exploring new entrepreneurial ventures.

Jamba, which was acquired by News Corp. and was jointly run with VeriSign, was used to help build News Corp's mobile business these past few years, including projects such as content distribution for the likes of "The Simpsons" and "The Simple Life" and the provision of music labels' ringontes and games from various developers. Under Hood's leadership, Jamba went global, to 35 countries in 25 languages.
