UPDATE, Jan. 20, 5:20 p.m. ET: Jamie Foxx met with the father of the man he saved. He posted a photo of them hugging on his official Facebook page on Jan. 19, which has been added to the story below.

Jamie Foxx helped save a man from a burning truck on Monday night, TMZ reports.

The driver, 32-year-old Brett Kyle, was driving a Toyota Tacoma at a high speed when it went off the road, fell onto a drainage pipe and rolled over before bursting into flames, BuzzFeed reports. The car crashed near the gate of the Oscar winner's Los Angeles home in Hidden Valley.

Foxx reportedly heard the accident, called 911 and, along with an anonymous witness, rushed outside to help the driver, pulling him out of the car and dragging him 30 feet away, according to TMZ.

"Met the father of the young man from last night today. This is all that matters. That a man, a son, a brother's life was spared last night. God had his arms wrapped around all of us...No heroes...Just happy fathers."

It's not the first time a celebrity has stepped up to be a real life hero. In 2011, Oscar-winner Kate Winslet saved Richard Branson's mother from a burning house. In 2012, Ryan Gosling saved a woman from an oncoming cab in New York City. And in 2010, Chris Rock helped a pregnant woman whose water broke at a New Jersey mall, telling her jokes and keeping her calm until the paramedics arrived.
