Janet Jackson's album 'Unbreakable' finally has a release date

Janet Jackon's new album Unbreakable will be released on Oct. 2.

The legendary singer announced the date on her website Thursday, also sharing that fans can pre-order the album starting today.

Unbreakable will mark the singer's first studio album in seven years.

The "No Sleep" singer has also recently embarked on a world tour, her first major tour since 2011. Vancouver and Calgary were the jumping off points for its first leg; after that, the tour will travel across North America.

Jackson also recently released a music video for new single "No Sleep," featuring rapper J. Cole.
