From the sound of Jason Aldean's Old Boots, New Dirt album, which you can hear below ahead of its Oct. 7 release, the "Burnin' It Down" singer is gunning to win Male Vocalist of the Year again at the Academy of Country Music Awards in 2015.

The album stream -- available on Mashable first as well as CMT.com and the CMT Artists app -- features 15 new tracks, including the steamy ballad "Burnin' It Down," which has peaked at No. 1 on Billboard's Hot Country Songs chart.

Old Boots, New Dirt is Aldean's sixth studio album. His fifth effort, Night Train, debuted at the top of the Billboard 200 in 2012. Three of his albums before that cracked the top four spots on the same chart, while his debut album in 2005 peaked at No. 37.

Previously, fellow country crooners Blake Shelton and Kenny Chesney have also offered album streams on CMT properties, just days before their albums went on sale.
