Jawbone just made its Jambox speaker an even better party accessory.

The company rolled out a new music app, Jawbone Drop, that allows users to manage group playlists with tweets.

Unveiled at Twitter's Flight conference Wednesday, the app takes advantage of Twitter's newly announced Fabric platform so that Rdio and Spotify playlists can be controlled by groups of friends with tweets.

"It’s a new music app that elevates the social music experience to a whole new level -- it plays music you’ll love with the touch of a button, takes requests from your friends in a seamless way, and constantly adapts to ensure everyone hears music that they’ll enjoy, " the company wrote in a blog post.

Users can create playlists of their favorite music (the app requires a paid Spotify or Rdio subscription to use) and songs can be "dropped" onto your friends' playlists via Twitter. From within the Drop app, select "tweet my friends" and the app posts a tweet from your account.

From there, friends can reply with the name of the song and artists they want to hear. Tweets must begin with the word "play," followed by the artist and song name. When someone tweets "play Jay Z's and Alicia Keys' Empire State of Mind," for instance, that song automatically appears on the playlist. (If you don't like your friends' taste, you can delete songs when necessary.)

The iOS app will play music through any connected device, including Jawbone's Jambox speakers, and only requires the playlist holder to have the Rdio or Spotify subscription so even those without one can tweet songs, provided someone they follow has an account.
