Who knew a movie about mops could look so gritty?

Oscar winner Jennifer Lawrence plays the title character in Joy, the woman who invented the Miracle Mop. Directed by David O. Russell, the film also reunites Lawrence with Silver Linings Playbook co-stars Bradley Cooper and Robert DeNiro.

Based on the trailer, you'd have no idea that the film has anything to do with the mops in general. It's a serious drama, centered around a troubled woman toeing the line between having a nervous breakdown and a major epiphany.

Joy will be released in theaters on December 25.
