Thanks to the latest round of licensing deals for Seinfeld reruns last year, comedian Jerry Seinfeld has landed as Hollywood’s wealthiest actor with a personal fortune of $820 million, according to Wealth-X, a Singapore-based company that tracks the ultra-rich.
The show about nothing that gave us the Soup Nazi and "yada yada yada" has generated $3.1 billion since going off the air on NBC in 1998, according to the Financial Times.
Forbes previously pegged Seinfeld’s wealth at a similar amount, but the actor disputed the publication’s estimates in an interview with Howard Stern.
There are likely more riches to come: Seinfeld hasn’t been made available on Apple’s iTunes Store or licensed to Netflix.
The remaining names on Wealth-X’s list are from the big screen, including No. 2: Shah Rukh Khan, the star of 50 Bollywood films who has an estimated net worth of $600 million.
Tom Cruise, who owns the Mission: Impossible franchise, is No. 3, followed by Tyler Perry at No. 4.
