[img src="" caption="" credit="" alt=""]Popular actress Jessica Biel, star of films like Blade:Trinity and Stealth, will soon be joining the millions of users already on LinkedIn to promote her new charity, the Make The Difference Network, which debuts today.

Biel will be posting a profile (no link yet - check the MTDN site for more info on the cause) with the question: "What do you do to make a difference?" She has opted to work with LinkedIn due to the number of professionals on the network and the possibility of fund raising, LinkedIn claimed. As opposed to other social sites, LinkedIn tends to skew to a wealthier demographic, with executives from all 500 of the Fortune 500, an average annual household income of approximately $139,000, and more than 1,500 C-level business leaders.

The Make The Difference Network aims to connect non-profit organizations with donors and supporters of all kinds. Besides Biel, other celebrities involved with MTDN include Justin Timberlake, Melissa Gilbert, and The Rock. It is also affiliated with Clinton's Global Initiative as part of its mission to help non-profits use technology more efficiently. But while the idea of networking Biel is amusing ("wanna check out my resume?"), chances are the profile will be in the name of the charity.
