While Pope Francis snagged the title of TIME's "Person of the Year," but comedian Jimmy Kimmel thinks a few other (more eccentric) candidates deserved consideration for the honor this year.
So Kimmel's team took to the streets of Los Angeles to see whether others agreed with their made-up winners, which included the crack-smoking Mayor of Toronto Rob Ford, selfie expert Anthony Weiner, a few reality stars and the Royal Baby.
The people of California were mostly on board with the fake choices. Who could disagree with the importance of Honey Boo Boo's Mama June?
Perhaps TIME will be forced to reconsider. Probably not. But at least we know if the magazine had a "Liar of the Year" accolade, Kimmel would be a shoo-in.
