This'll push a few buttons for the more well-rounded geeks of the world: J.J. Abrams' production company Bad Robot ishaspartnered up with Infinity Blade developer Chair Entertainment for a video game set in the shadowy world of espionage.

Spyjinx is described as "a mix of action-strategy, dynamic world-building and RPG character development," and it's coming to PC and mobile devices in 2016. Abrams and Chair founder Donald Mustard told Geoff Keighley that there's going to be a beta, but that's the extent of what's been revealed so far.

This isn't Abrams' first flirtation with game development. The filmmaker took the stage at DICE 2013 with Valve boss Gabe Newell for a lively discussion that ended with a promised collaboration that would lead to Portal and Half-Life films.

Nothing's come of that proclamation yet, so we'll see what happens with Spyjinx. Abrams is a busy guy (maybe you've heard of Star Wars?), but all's been quiet on the Chair front since the studio released Infinity Blade III to cap off that series in 2014.

It's not unreasonable to think a bigger reveal could be coming in December, when Keighley takes the stage to host the second annual presentation of The Game Awards.
