LONDON -- If you're still unsure about whether the eighth Harry Potter book is a novel, or when exactly it's going to be set, J.K. Rowling has some blunt words for you.

The Harry Potter author and undisputed Twitter badass took to social media on Thursday morning to debunk rumours and field questions from confused fans.

First, she cleared up the rumours about another 'novel.'

Me (number 1 fan of the original #HarryPotter franchise) when I found out @jk_rowling is writing an 8th book. pic.twitter.com/qcJYGHOjmT— Olwethu-Thando Klaas (@Lady_Crunk) February 11, 2016

To be clear! The SCRIPT of #CursedChild is being published. #NotANovel #NotAPrequel https://t.co/3OhdOBIqJt— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) February 11, 2016

Then it was back to the old 'prequel' debate.

@jk_rowling @Lady_Crunk THAT IS V TRUE BUT ITS STILL A BOOK. And it is technically prequel kind of— Zoë | #CloudySkiesEP (@Zohey_) February 11, 2016

The script will be in book form, true, but it's still #NotAPrequel because it's set #19YearsLater https://t.co/befLyX4Mp2— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) February 11, 2016

@jk_rowling @Lady_Crunk why not write a prequel— trevor brooks (@tbrooks2013) February 11, 2016

I have: the screenplay for #FantasticBeasts https://t.co/hMmPdvHOOQ— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) February 11, 2016

It wasn't long before the old jokes started.

@jk_rowling @Lady_Crunk Are you sure it isn't a prequel tho? — Kshitija Agrawal (@KayTheSlytherin) February 11, 2016

Quite sure. #19YearsLater https://t.co/tmM3h7Vyz4— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) February 11, 2016

Eventually, one fan came up with a suggestion.

@jk_rowling You should really put #NotAPrequel in your Twitter-bio to avoid answering the same questions eleventy billion times.— Dan F. (@avatar81) February 11, 2016

Along with "the Horcrux wasn't destroyed in CoS because Harry didn't die #PleaseNeverAskMeThatAgainPlease" https://t.co/ih4QwuQncI— J.K. Rowling (@jk_rowling) February 11, 2016

Rowling has spoken, Twitter. Don't ask her again, okay?
