The 512-paged tome is headed for book stores on Sep. 27, 2012 as a hardback, ebook and unabridged audio download and audio CD.
While Rowling fans are excited about a book aimed at adults, the reception to the new book cover isn't winning quite as many rave reviews.
On Twitter and the Little, Brown and Company's Facebook page, fans are reacting with displeasure at the cover design -- with some calling it too bland and one Facebook user even likening the design to "fan art."
