John Waters encourages graduates to 'horrify us with new ideas'

John Waters has finally reached the pinnacle of mainstream success: giving a commencement address at one of the top art schools in the country.

The Pink Flamingos writer/director and self-proclaimed "King of Filth" relished the opportunity to bestow his peculiar brand of wisdom on the next generation of art weirdos at Rhode Island School of Design. Waters peppered his speech with moments of genuine, heartfelt advice, leavened with the occasional joke referencing his career spent as a cinematic outsider.
