Media coverage about Caitlyn Jenner has been a mixed bag of commentary, but as Jon Stewart noticed, many easily embraced her transition to womanhood with open arms.
In a Daily Show segment entitled "Brave New Girl," Stewart welcomes Jenner to her new life, then gives a warning about the dark side to being a woman in modern society.
“You see, Caitlyn, when you were a man, we could talk about your athleticism, your business acumen, but now you’re a woman, and your looks are really the only thing we care about," said Stewart.
The segment pointed to several media clips covering Jenner's story that put special emphasis on Jenner being "sexy," looking like Rita Hayworth and other general commentary that focuses solely on her looks, her age and where or not Jenner has been Photoshopped in the magazine spread.
