LOS ANGELES -- So when Jon Stewart told us he was just "going to get a drink," what he meant was "going to get in the ring."

Stewart's first gig since signing off from The Daily Show will be as host of WWE’s SummerSlam on Sunday, the wrestling entertainment network has announced.

A big wrestling fan himself, Stewart appeared in a feud with WWE World Heavyweight Champion Seth Rollins earlier this year -- an ongoing confrontation that ended with Stewart kicking Rollins where it hurts the most:

After 16 years as host of The Daily Show, Stewart anchored his last episode Aug. 6. He's yet to announce what he'll really do next, but he was pretty clear in his sign-off that he's not entirely ready to hang up the microphone.

"Rather than saying goodbye or good night, I'm just gonna say 'I'm gonna go get a drink,'" Stewart said. "And I'm sure I'll see you guys before I leave."

What better place to start than the four-hour SummerSlam broadcast (plus one-hour pre-show) on WWE Network from the Barclays Center in Brooklyn, New York?
