Two television commentators appearing on the Jordanian television network 7 Stars on Monday were spotted aggressively flipping a table during a tense disagreement on the show "Between Opposing Opinions."
According to Al-Arabiya, Shaker al-Jawhary, head of the Electronic Media Association in Jordan, and Mohammad Sharif al-Jaiousy, the editor in chief of news website al-Mustaqbal al-Arabi, were sparring over the Syrian crisis. Al-Jawhary reportedly accused al-Jaiousy of supporting the Syrian revolution, provoking al-Jaiousy to fire back, telling his opponent to "shut up."
Needless to say, a table was destroyed and a television set was ruined, leaving no clear winner. The fight forced the show's host to end the segment.
It could have escalated further, though.
