We saw a dad catch a foul-ball barehanded while feeding his baby on Tuesday night, but this web gem from Josh Donaldson on Wednesday might actually have that beat.

Donaldson, a third baseman for the Toronto Blue Jays, absolutely soared into the stands to snag a pop foul in the eighth inning, and give pitcher Marco Estrada a chance at MLB history (more on that later).

But first, this catch! Watch Donaldson fly three rows into the crowd, face-plant into a fan, then come up with the ball in his glove and a massive grin on his mug:

Estrada was pitching a perfect game at the time, but gave up an infield single to the very next batter. Bummer for Estrada, but Donaldson will always have this Vine.

While barehand, baby-feeding dad may still be the greatest MLB catch this season, Donaldson's is the best catch by a player so far.
