A reporter for the Washington Post detailed having her phone stolen and being knocked down and surrounded by a group of angry teens before being helped by others.
"In a flash, one of them bumped into me and grabbed the phone out of my hand. I chased after him, screaming, and other protesters knocked into me, tripped me and shoved me to the ground. They circled around me, some with bricks or rocks or bottles in their hands," wrote Petula Dvorak of the Post.
Freelance journalist Steve Dorsey relayed a similar story, saying that his phone was stolen after being punched in the face.
