Emmy-winning actress Julia Louis-Dreyfus, who stars in the HBO show Veep, met U.S. Vice President Joe Biden on Tuesday during a White House State dinner honoring French President Francois Hollande.
Louis-Dreyfus snapped a quick photo of herself with the real Veep and shared it on Twitter.

That was an unforgettable evening. Thank u @JoeBiden @BarackObama @MichelleObama pic.twitter.com/eFOQlVGjlg— Julia Louis-Dreyfus (@OfficialJLD) February 12, 2014
Louis-Dreyfus said, "Look who I'm sitting next to," pointing to Biden, according to a pool report.
"Hey, stop screwin' around, she's my date!" Biden butted in, laughing. "Just kidding."
Louis-Dreyfus has played fictional Vice President Selina Meyer in Veep for two years. Her goofy antics on the show are vaguely familiar to some of Biden's own behavior. But this isn't the first time the two have met: Dreyfus had lunch with Biden and his staff last year. We fully endorse this budding friendship.
