Band Takes To YouTube, Asks Fans To Create Music Video

YouTube is increasingly becoming fertile ground for creators to find fame, and now Swedish band Junip is opening up that opportunity to its fans. The band is asking its followers to create a music video for the song "Without You," for the chance to garner fame and other prizes.

Starting Tuesday, fans of Junip (a.k.a Jose Gonzalez, Tobias Winterkorn and Elias Araya) can surf on over to YouTube, where they can listen to the song -- a dreamy, strummy jam one can imagine being sung in a church made out of trees (steal that video concept, why don't you?) -- and submit their own entries.

The contest ends on August 5, and the band will choose the winning video (keep your eyes on Mashable's Music Monday for more on that). The winner will also receive a Moogerfooger MF-102 Ring Modulator from Moog Music.
