Justin Bieber Tweets Australian Open Star After Dream-Date Confession

Nineteen-year-old Genie Bouchard turned in an impressive performance at the Australian Open on Tuesday, easily beating Ana Ivanovic to become the first Canadian to reach a Grand Slam semifinal in 30 years.

Bouchard was then interviewed in front of fans at Melbourne's Rod Laver Arena, and asked about her "dream date." The tennis pro's answer -- Justin Bieber -- drew a mixture of boos and laughter from the crowd. Here's video:

But fear not, loyal fans of tennis, pop music and/or true love: Our story doesn't end here.

Clearly having gotten wind of his newfound admirer, Bieber threw his support behind Bouchard via Twitter on Tuesday:

Let's just hope Justin's army of rabid Beliebers are a little nicer to Bouchard than they were to Eric Dickerson.
