Justin Bieber and Keith Richards mourn friend lost in Paris attacks

Justin Bieber and Keith Richards have both penned touching tributes to a mutual friend who died in Friday's terrorist attacks on Paris.

Thomas Ayad, the product manager for Universal's Mercury Records, was at the Bataclan concert hall the night of Nov. 13. Eagles of Death Metal is represented by Universal Music Group.

Bieber tweeted a message to his fans Monday night, urging them to take time to appreciate the people in their lives.

Meanwhile, Keith Richards Instagrammed a picture with Ayad as a tribute to his friend. "My heartfelt condolences go out to the family and friends of Thomas Ayad," Richards wrote. "Words cannot express the horror of what happened in Paris. I am horrified by the tragic events that took place in Paris last Friday night."

Lucian Grainge, Universal Music Group Chairman, released a statement to the LA Times confirming the loss of Ayad.

"This is an unspeakably appalling tragedy. I cannot even begin to express the depth of my sorrow," Grainge wrote. "On behalf of everyone here at UMG, we extend our most profound sympathies to his parents and all of his friends and family."
