Justin Bieber's moody new video for "I'll Show You You" is the pop star's baptism, and he wants you to know how seriously he's taking his redemption.

In the video, filmed in Iceland, he literally strips down and washes away his sins. He is completely alone and begging you to remember that he is a human who needs love, just like anybody else. But unlike everybody else, he's struggling with the baggage of life as Biebs. And while Beliebers love him, they don't really know what's going on inside of him.

"It's hard to do the right thing when the pressure's coming down like lightning," Bieber sings, putting forth the mission statement of his new album, Purpose. "It's like they want me to be perfect, but they don't know I'm hurting."

But even in his exile, Bieber seems to have quite a few references in mind, spanning from performance art to the classics to pop culture. He has a lot to learn, but he also has a lot to teach.
