In what is either a great relief or heartbreaking news, reports of Justin Bieber and Kourtney Kardashian's romance have been greatly exaggerated.
The rumors heated up after Kardashian, 36, and Bieber, 21, reportedly partied in Bieber's hotel room on Friday night. Then TMZ misidentified the girl in one of Bieber's Instagrams as Kardashian.

Bieber posted an Instagram of himself cozying up to a girl whose face is hidden with the caption "Lord knows," which people thought could be a taunt directed at Kardashian's ex, Scott Disick, who refers to himself as Lord Disick. Plus, Bieber is Kardashian's type -- dudes who screw up all the time and come back saying sorry.

However, paparazzi photos of the actual Instagram photoshoot reveal the girl in question as a model named Jasmine Villanueava.
Which, of course, does not mean that Bieber and Kardashian aren't hooking up. Both are currently in the process of healing from the end of long-term relationships and probably have a lot to talk about, since no matter how much time passes, every girl who isn't Selena Gomez is a rebound for Biebs.
Bieber is also a friend of the Kardashian family and posted a selfie with Kourtney in October after the odd kouple got dinner and went to Universal Studios.

Either way, we don't need to worry about Bieber playing step-dad to Kardashian's three children just yet.
