Beliebers' worst fears seem to come true in Justin Bieber's new music video: He has a girlfriend. He also seems to get kidnapped. It's really hard to tell which one is worse.

After a full month of cryptic "What Do You Mean?" Instagrams, leading up to a new single and a lyric video to boot, Justin Bieber's official music video is here.

The Biebs premiered the dramatic new video for "What Do You Mean?" at 11 PM E.T. on Sunday night. In the video, Bieber enlists John Leguizamo to help him stage an elaborate fake kidnapping, all in order to get his girlfriend to go to a party at a skate park. Mashable does not recommend arranging dates using this method

Earlier in the night, Bieber performed the single at the MTV VMAs, flying over the stage before literally bursting into tears.

He also tweeted a preview of the video in the hours leading up to the premiere.
