Kaneva's Virtual Dance Party Starts Tonight

Kaneva, the online virtual world, is launching Dance Party 3D, which is an MMO dance game where players can compete on the dance floor. It's free to join, and to play, but if you want to look your coolest, you can buy dance gear and more. This seems rather similar to EA Games' recently launched community for Sims Karaoke.

With this virtual dance world, you can also be your own DJ, build your own night club, and create the entire experience, really. So it's not just about dancing and winning competitions, it's also about sharing music, right? There are two new clubs that have been erected in Kaneva for the new Dance Party 3D features.

Dance moves are achieved by practicing your keystrokes, so the faster you are, the more likely you'll be able to win dance battles. A virtual score board will show you how you rank among the other dancers. Uploading your own videos and photos to Dance Party 3D can also help you attract fans and win prizes. For those of you that would like to create your own dance club, you can do so for pretty much any type of club you'd like, from VIP to disco.

Other stuff going on for virtual havens include SceneCaster's newly launched service at DEMO today, WeeWorld's customized rooms, Koinup's launch, and Habbo's Virtual Film Awards.
