An Australian cyclist slammed into a kangaroo while riding her bike -- and captured the incident on a GoPro camera.

The woman from Canberra in Australia's Capital Territory had been riding along the side of a road Monday night, between Parliament House and Australian Prime Minister Tony Abbott's official residence, when a kangaroo jumped over a railing, and wiped her out.

It is an area well-known for roving 'roos, as Canberra is often called the "bush capital" due to its large amounts of surrounding wildlife and natural vegetation. Luckily, the woman suffered only minor injuries, and was helped at the scene by passersby, before being taken to hospital as a precaution, according to ABC.

"I escaped relatively unscathed with no broken bones, but a severely grazed and bruised elbow, grazed hip and eight stitches in my knee," the woman, under the alias originalallrounder, wrote on YouTube.
