Pop Duo Karmin Rings NASDAQ Bell for Twitter Appreciation Day

Look at them now. Pop duo Karmin -- whose YouTube cover of Chris Brown's "Look at Me Now" went viral in 2011 and led to a record deal with Epic Records -- rang the NASDAQ opening bell alongside Z100 radio personality Greg T in New York City's Times Square on Monday for #dreamBIG Twitter Appreciation Day.

The Twitter campaign, which urges people to tweet their dreams and success stories using #dreamBIG, is highlighting tweets, photos and Vine videos on NASDAQ Tower's big screen.

If the hashtag looks familiar, it's because pop star Justin Bieber used it in a tweet last week after becoming the first Twitter user to reach 40 million followers.

In the video above, Mashable interviewed Karmin's Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan at NASDAQ to discuss #dreamBIG, advise aspiring YouTube cover song artists and talk about their new single, "Acapella," which you can watch below.
