Don't feel too bad for high school student Jake Davidson, whose viral prom proposal to Kate Upton was ultimately turned down. Instead, he walked into the dance last weekend with supermodel Nina Agdal on his arm.
In March, Davidson posted a YouTube video called "Kate Upton, Will You Go To Prom With Me?", which attracted nationwide attention. Upton, who couldn't make it, told Mashable she was starting to feel the pressure to make a decision: "I have to rearrange some things, but I hope it will work out."
Later, Davidson learned Agdal was interested: "It was set up by Inside Edition," he said. "Obviously, there was really only one answer to this."
Davidson captured the night on video -- as seen above -- and called the night "incredible."
"A lot of people were definitely turning their heads when we walked in," he said. "They were excited to meet her and take pictures."
This isn't the first time Agdal, 21, has followed in Upton's footsteps. She became the Carl's Jr. spokesperson one year after Upton did and made a splash with Sports Illustrated in 2012 as Rookie of the Year supermodel.
"I loved the Carl's Jr. commercial and her work in Sports Illustrated, so I have been a fan for awhile," he said.
Davidson said he isn't holding a grudge against Upton: "I was so thankful she responded at all and she was really awesome with everything," he said. "I was so appreciative of any response. I am sure she would have been an incredible prom date, as well."
