UPDATED -- Friday, Oct. 30 at 12:26 p.m. PT to reflect comments from Holmes's publicist.

More than three years after her split from ex-husband and Scientologist Tom Cruise, Katie Holmes is set to make her first public comments about the religion -- though, without saying much.

Holmes will offer comment during a 20/20 special on Friday that follows former Scientologist Leah Remini's exit from the religion.

Remini spoke to ABC News's Dan Harris in an interview promoting the special, discussing an incident in which she was "written up" for a negative comment about Cruise and Holmes.

“He was like, forcibly kissing Katie,” she said. “And I said, ‘Hey, get a freaking room.’ And uh, well. I was written up for that.”

“Being critical of Tom Cruise is being critical of Scientology itself,” she added.

Harris later appeared on Good Morning America, telling Robin Roberts and her co-hosts that "you're going to hear from Katie Holmes, the former wife of Tom Cruise," during the special, as well as "what she is now saying about Leah" during the special.

Mashable reached out to Holmes' publicist for comment, who says that Holmes will not directly appear on the show, but will issue a statement.
