Among serious doll collectors, Noel Cruz is somewhat of a celebrity. Known for his impeccable ability to repaint doll versions of famous people, Cruz can turn any Barbie into a collectable worth hundreds of dollars.
His latest project is the Barbie Collector Hunger Games Katniss Everdeen doll, which aside from her outfit and bow, looks almost nothing like Jennifer Lawrence.
Cruz's updated version is so expertly repainted, however, that the doll is now selling for upwards of $770 on eBay.
Cruz shared the painstaking steps he took to create a more life-like Katniss on his website. This includes trimming, curling and re-dyeing the doll's hair, removing all paint from the doll's face and repainting its features with a minuscule brush.
Cruz shared a before-and-after picture on his Instagram account.
