Who's the biggest Britney Spears, Justin Timberlake fangirl? Katy Perry.
The "Dark Horse" singer paid the ultimate homage to THE pop princess, Britney Spears, at the 2014 VMAs, wearing an all-denim outfit similar to what Britney wore to the 28th Annual American Music Awards in 2001. The kicker? Perry brought along Riff Raff dressed in a Justin Timberlake-inspired matching denim getup.
We must ask it: Who wore it better?
Apparently, the outfit choice was because Perry is such a huge fan of nostalgia...

But we think it's really because Perry knows who the Queen of the VMAs has always been (and will always be).
Apparently, the homage worked out. Perry won the first award of the night for Best Female Video -- let's hope Britney gets a 20% cut of that award.
UPDATE: Aug. 25, 9:11 a.m. Britney Spears later responded to Katy Perry's fashion tribute, tweeting that she looked "amazing." Guess imitation is the highest form of flattery.
