Forget navigating a department store maze to get your hands on a bottle of Katy Perry perfume. The superstar singer has made sure her followers -- dubbed KatyCats -- can stay freshly spritzed without ever leaving the Twitter app.
Fresh from throwing shade at Taylor Swift on Twitter, Perry is using the social media platform to exclusively launch her new fragrance: Mad Potion by Katy Perry.

All Tweeters have to do is click the "Buy Now" button in a tweet, enter their credit card information, and the $29.99 perfume will be on its way.
Twitter made its first foray into the fashion market with Burberry in September. The British luxury retailer sold limited edition nail polishes on Twitter at the same time as they launched during London Fashion Week, according to Fashionista.

"In working with Katy, we wanted to try something completely different for the launch of her latest fragrance," Emily Bond, vice president of global marketing at the fragrance's licensing company, Coty, told Women's Wear Daily. “Given her immense popularity on Twitter, we thought it would be the ideal channel to create a pop-up shop that will let her fans not only interact with her but also purchase the fragrance directly.”
It's a smart business move, considering Perry has more than 72 million followers on Twitter. Taylor Swift has about 61.2 million, and Justin Bieber has around 65.8 million.

Mad Potion is the fourth in Perry's line of perfumes. According to its Twitter pop-up page, the fragrance's smells ranges from the conventional, such as pink peonies and vanilla, to secret ingredients such as "magical musk."
Not to worry, though -- according to Los Angeles Racked, Perry insisted the scent is "soft, approachable, sweet, and edible."
