Keke Palmer is your newest Pink Lady.

The actress is joining the cast of the live Fox musical Grease: Live. Palmer will star as Marty Maraschino, a Pink Lady in Rizzo's crew. The live adaptation will air on Jan. 31, 2016. Actress Julianne Hough is slated to play as main character Sandy and Vanessa Hudgens has been cast as bad girl Rizzo.

The role of Marty was originally played by actress Dinah Manoff in the popular 1978 film adaptation of Grease, which also starred John Travolta and Olivia Newton-John.

Palmer is no stranger to musicals, recently starring in Cinderella on Broadway, the first African-American actress to land the princess role on the Great White Way. She's also released multiple albums and honed her singing chops for the 2013 VH1 biopic CrazySexyCool: The TLC Story.

She's also got a part in the upcoming Fox series Scream Queens, created by Ryan Murphy.

Numerous other important roles have yet to be announced for Grease: Live, including lead male character Danny, originally played by Travolta.

The live musical craze was kicked off in 2013 by NBC's adaptation of The Sound of Music, starring Carrie Underwood, Stephen Moyer and Broadway star Audra McDonald. The network soon followed it up with a live adaptation of Peter Pan, and also has a live broadcast of The Wiz in the works.

Grease: Live will be Fox's first foray into the recent live musical frenzy.
